Procedure: Step-by-Step
The aligner treatment process begins with a consultation and digital scan or impression of your teeth. Using 3D imaging technology, a series of custom aligners are created to guide the teeth into alignment in stages. Each set is worn for about 1 to 2 weeks before switching to the next one. Patients are usually required to wear aligners for 20–22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing. Follow-up appointments occur every 6–8 weeks to monitor progress. Treatment typically lasts between 6 to 18 months, depending on the case.
